Generator is an emulator for the Sega Megadrive console, also known as Sega Genesis in the United Sates. It was the world's first 16-bit console and appeared in 1988.

Anyone with nostalgia for this marvelous console can return to legendary adventures such as Sonic The Hedgehog, Streets of Rage, Shinobi, Gunstar Heroes, OutRun, Altered Beast, and The Story of Thor, this time on Mac.

Generator is capable of emulating the hardware for both sound chips (YM2612 and SN76489); it has two video-rendering modes optimized for better performance or speed, respectively, and it supports SMD and BIN file formats.

It is also possible to save and load your game at any time thanks to Generator's simple status system.
